Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed consists of the best men and the best ladies on the European Tour. Here, everyone plays in one and the same golf competition, for one prize pool and one trophy!

The hosts for the event are Henrik Stenson and Annika Sörenstan.

The Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed 2022 will be played at Halmstad Golf Club, located in the pine forest of Tylösand, so near to the coast you can feel the salty sea air when the breeze drifts in from the sea. There are two amazing eighteen-hole courses here. The North Course is considered to be one of the best in Sweden.

Central Halmstad will also be buzzing with life during the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed. On Stora torg, an activity area called Fan Zone is arranged with a food court, concerts, activities for both children and adults as well as the opportunity to follow the competition via a big screen in a wonderful lounge environment, right in the heart of Halmstad.

Fan Zone is a free extension of Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed and offers everything from try-out activities and competitions to music and entertainment on stage with Sebastian Lara and Eva Ina, among others.

In Halmstad, there are 153 holes on 8 golf courses waiting for you, each offering a unique experience. There are plenty of options, and the character, length and number of holes of the courses vary greatly. You’ll have a first-class golf experience, whether you’re a beginner or an avid golfer.

In Halmstad, you can choose to stay at the golf course, in the city centre near restaurants and shops, or a stone’s throw from the beach. We have a number of golf packages for you to choose from.

Getting to the competition in Tylösand

Bike

Feel free to take the bike out to Tylösand. Do you need to rent a bike? In Halmstad, there are several bicycle rental companies and more companies that rent out bicycles. With Zeus, you can quickly rent an electric scooter and get out to Tylösand. Read more about electric scooters and bike rental on our page Getting around.

City buses and extra shuttle bus

Hallandstrafiken will run an extra electric bus, line 22, from Halmstad C to Tylösand and the golf competition, with stops at Stora Torg and Västerbro. The buses run every 15 minutes in connection with the start and end of the competition, and every 30 minutes the rest of the time. In Tylösand, the bus stops at Örlogsvägen / First Camp Karlstorp. Regular bus line 3 runs from Halmstad Resecentrum, via Stora torg to Tylösand. Get off at the stop Örlogsvägen or Sandhamnsvägen, which is close to the entrance at First Camp Karlstorp. If you want to enter the beach or the central parts of Tylösand, go to the stop Tylösand.

Bus 1 also runs as usual. If you take this bus, you can get off at the stop Sandhamnsvägen, which is close to the entrance at First Camp Karlstorp. Or you get off at the stop Tylöbäck which is near the entrance at Kungsvägen.

Closed roads

The following roads will be closed from 9 to 12 June between 07:00 and 19:00. The bus traffic will be let through the shutdowns and run as usual.

  • Kungsvägen (part Tylöbäck - Tångvägen)
  • Tångvägen (part Kungsvägen - Rådjursvägen)
  • Frösakullsvägen

Parking

There is usually a lot of traffic during the summertime in Tylösand. So we recommend you either cycle or take public transport to the tournaments. The car parks usually fill up quickly.

There are two main car parks for the event. One at First Camp Karlstorp and one at First Camp Tylösand. Parking costs SEK 150. It is possible to charge your electric car in both parking lots. Bicycle parking is available in both parking spaces.

  • If you are coming from the south or the city, we recommend parking at First Camp Karlstorp (Gamla Tylösandsvägen 200, 302 72 Halmstad).
  • If you come from the north, we recommend parking at First Camp Tylösand (Kungsvägen 3, 302 70 Halmstad).
